HAITIAN-AMERICAN MOTIVATIONAL AUTHOR DEBUTS BOOK ON OVERCOMING OBSTACLES AND STAYING MOTIVATED

Haitian-American Motivational Author Cindy Similien-Johnson will debut her book, "How to Stay Motivated: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Living" at a book reading on Friday, March 20, 2015. The event will be held at 7pm at Anba Tonel located at 208 Parkside Avenue (2nd Floor), Brooklyn, NY 11226. She will share her personal story of overcoming challenges and setbacks, and her journey of discovering and living a life with purpose, clarity, and vision.

Cindy graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Ambitious and determined, she's known for being strong-willed and confident. As a life coach and a motivational speaker, Cindy draws from her own life experiences to inspire others.

"I wrote 'How to Stay Motivated: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Living' while coping with the sudden death of my friend last year," she said. "I was facing depression and despair, and I knew I had to do something to turn my life around. I decided to turn my pain into power and purpose so that I can help others who are facing similar situations."
In 2014, she founded CSJ Media Publishing as a platform to use her gifts and talents in writing to enlighten, empower, and encourage other individuals to live a more fulfilled life. Her book can be used as a motivational tool for those who want to overcome obstacles, create and achieve purposeful goals, and have a positive impact in the world.

The event is free to the public. Autographed copies of Cindy's book will be available for purchase. The event is also sponsored by Flanbwayan Haitian Literacy Project, a youth membership based organization serving newcomer and young adult Haitian immigrant students in New York City who are English Language Learners (ELLs) between the ages of 14 to 21.
