Share the Good News
I went to service at my church today, and the message was inspiring. The pastor talked about sharing the good news with others. (The Good News being the salvation found in Jesus Christ. What is salvation exactly? Take a look here.) The pastor related the story of four lepers in 2 Kings 7. During the time the lepers lived, there was a severe famine. They found themselves to be in an awful dilemma. Do they remain and perish in their horrid conditions, or do they pursue a better life even though there is an uncertainty of success? The four lepers chose to leave in search of a better life.
God rewarded their faith, determination, and perseverance! By the grace of God, the lepers were able to find food and riches. After getting all of these things, it dawned upon them and they felt a heavy burden to share their wealth.
The pastor emphasized the importance of sharing the Good News. One should not hide it, but spread the news! Why? There are people dying out there. Souls are perishing.
What has God done in your life? What has He taken you out of? Has He healed you? Has He restored you? Has He blessed you? Haven't you shared God's goodness in your life with others? People need to hear about it. Why? They are people perishing. There are people dying! They need hope. (You and I both know that the hope they are looking for can only be found in Jesus.)
If you think about it, it's only hope that sustains us. Just think about it for a minute. You hope to wake up tomorrow. You hope that you will still have your job tomorrow. You hope to see your loved one. You hope to get healed. You hope to be set free from a besetting sin, an addiction, or whatever. What happens if you don't have hope? There's no point to living, right? Wrong. Because you can have that hope. That hope can be found in Jesus. It's free. You don't have to pay for it. You don't have to be scheduled in for an appointment and wait for weeks to be seen. You can start having hope right now wherever you are! But, you must place your hope in Jesus, and no one else.
If your hope has been fulfilled, please share what God has done in your life so you can instill hope in the lives of others!
I have so much to tell you! God has done amazing things in my life. In my forthcoming books, you will read all about it. In the meantime, just know that God is in the business of miracles. He's in the business of saving you from yourself. He's in the business of healing. He's a GREAT God. He knows what you're going through. I don't know who I am speaking to today, but have hope! I will even hope for YOU! You will get through it. How do I know? Because He did it for me! He healed me from a sickness, and so much more!
God bless you. Have a great Sunday!
